Defining an access group

An access group is a group of related permissions, or rights, to access Infor Operations and Regulations modules and perform actions with your agency's records.

After you define the access group, Infor Operations and Regulations will show the group in the Permissions tree with its access ID. You can then start defining permissions for the group.

  1. Select System > Security > Access Control.
  2. In the Role Information tree, browse to the Permissions node of any role.
  3. Right-click the Permissions node and select Specify Permissions for Role.
  4. In the Permissions tree, browse to the node that you want to add an access group to.
    This can be the Permissions root node or an access group "Access Group" node.
  5. Right-click the node and select Create Access Group.
  6. Type a unique name for the access group in the Access Group Name field.
  7. Click Save.

    Infor Operations and Regulations closes the dialog box and shows the new access group in the Permissions tree. Infor Operations and Regulations also generates an access ID for the group and shows it to the right of its name.

    You can now define permissions for the group.
