Advancing to the next milestone

Normally an application advances through its milestones automatically, as the requirements for each milestone are met. However, there may be situations where an application that has met all the requirements for the current milestone doesn't advance. For example, application information might have been changed by a Batch Manager task that doesn't trigger the ProcessNextState method. In that case you can advance the application manually.

To advance an eligible application to the next milestone, click the Process Next Milestone link in the Quick Links panel on the Summary tab. If any of the requirements for the current milestone are not met, the application won't advance.

Note: You can also use the Process Next Milestone task in the Batch Manager to advance eligible applications to the next milestone.
