Creating a risk event type

  1. Select Asset Management > Advanced Asset Management > Risk Management.
  2. Click Create Risk Event Type.
  3. Specify this information:
    Failure Definition
    Specify the type of asset failure for which you're creating the risk event type.
    Segment Definition
    If you want to divide linear assets such as roadways into segments, enter the segment definition rule.

    Probability of Failure Type
    Specify the PoF type that will be used to calculate the PoF for this event type.
    PoF Rating
    If the selected PoF type uses ratings, select the correct rating from the list.
    Consequence of Failure Group
    Specify the CoF group that will be used to calculate the CoF for this event type.
    Mitigations
    If steps have been taken to mitigate the risk, enter the mitigation factors in the grid
  4. Click Save.
