Portal configuration
Use the Portal Setup tab in
the Request Type dialog box to define settings for the request type in
Infor Rhythm for Civics.
You can also enter gobal settings that apply to all request types in Rhythm for Civics.

Use these check boxes to configure the availability of a request type in the Service and CDR Portal:
- Show in Portal
- This check box indicates whether the request type is available in the Service and CDR Portal.
- Is Public
- Select this check box to show service requests of this type to public users.
- Allow Customer Submission
- Indicates whether customers can submit service requests of this type through the portal.
- Allow Public Submission
- Indicates whether public users can submit service requests of this type through the portal.
Under
, use these check boxes to configure the availability of a request type in the Billing Portal:- Show in Portal (Billing)
- This check box indicates whether the request type is available in the Billing Portal.
- Allow Submission (Billing)
- This check box indicates whether customers can submit service requests of this type
through the portal.
Anonymous service requests are not supported in the Billing Portal, so there is no option for public submission.
The Portal Configuration tab includes these additional configuration options:
- Portal Description
- Optionally, specify an alternative description of the service request type to be displayed in Rhythm for Civics.
- Portal Keywords for Submission Search
- Optionally, specify a list of keywords that users can use to search for the request type when submitting a service request in the portal.
- Portal Instructions
- Optionally, enter instructions for submitting service requests of this type. The instructions will be displayed for users in the portal site.
- Log Generation Links
- You can use this grid to define custom links that will be displayed in Rhythm for Civics so users can add log entries to service requests. For each link you can specify the link text, the type of log to be added, and optional instructions for the portal user.
- Detail Page Constraints for Portal
- This grid defines how details for this request type will be shown in Rhythm for Civics. Two columns indicate how that detail will be displayed: Customer View and Public View. Use these columns to indicate whether each detail is editable, display-only, or not present for customers and public users.
