Defining a trade license inspection type
You can define an inspection type under the Activities and Fees node or under a milestone node. When you define an inspection type under Activities and Fees, you can associate it with the milestone at which Infor Public Sector adds the inspection. When you define an inspection type under a milestone node, it is automatically associated with that milestone.
- Select Trade License > Setup > License Workflow.
- In the License Types tree, browse to the inspection types for the correct license type or milestone.
- Click the Inspections node.
- Click Add above the grid.

Specify this information:
- Inspection Type
- Specify a name for the inspection type. The name must be unique within the license type but can be reused in other license types.
- Description
- Enter a description of the inspection type.
- Add On
- Optionally, if you are adding the inspection type under Activities and Fees, specify the milestone at which the inspection type will be added to licenses. If you leave this field blank, the inspection type will not be added automatically but can be added manually.
- Effective Date
- Specify the date the inspection type is effective.

If your agency uses Infor Rhythm for Civics, specify this information to make the inspection type
available in the portal:
- Show in Portal
- Select this check box if you want inspections of this type to be shown in Infor Rhythm for Civics.
- Is Public
- Select this check box to show inspections to public users.
- Portal Description
- Specify an alternative description of the inspection type to be displayed in the portal.

Optionally, specify this information to configure automated scheduling for the
inspection type:
- Priority
- Specify the priority of the inspection type.
- Estimated Hours
- Specify the estimated number of hours needed to complete an inspection of this type.
- Estimated Minutes
- Specify the estimated number of minutes needed to complete an inspection of this type.
- Assign to Department
- Specify the department to which inspections of this type will be assigned.
- Assign to Section
- Specify the section to which inspections of this type will be assigned.
- Assign to Unit
- Specify the unit to which inspections of this type will be assigned.

Optionally, specify this additional information:
- Add On Condition Formula
- Specify a formula that calculates whether the inspection type is added.
- Maximum Inspection Condition
- Specify a formula to determine if a fee is charged for reinspections over a specified maximum number.
- Maximum Inspection Fee Code
- Specify the code for the fee that is charged for inspections over the maximum number. When you specify a code here, the corresponding description is entered in the Maximum Inspection Fee Description field.
- Maximum Inspection Fee Description
- Specify the description of the fee that is charged for inspections over the maximum number. When you specify a description here, the corresponding code is entered in the Maximum Inspection Fee Code field.
- DynamicPortal Description
- If your agency uses Dynamic Portal, you can enter a description of the inspection type that is displayed to customers in Dynamic Portal.
- Assignment Group Formula
- See Calculating which inspection assignment group to use.
- Schedule Condition Formula
- See Calculating whether to schedule an inspection.
- Click Approve.
- When you're finished defining inspection types, click Close and set up access control.
