License types in Rhythm for Civics
Infor Rhythm for Civics is a cloud-based web
portal that customers and members of the public can use to work with licenses in Infor Public Sector. When defining a license type, you can enter settings
that will be used for that license type in Rhythm for Civics.

Use the Portal Setup tab in the License Type dialog box to define how a license type is presented in the portal. You can specify these settings:
- Show in Portal
- Select this check box if you want licenses of this type to be shown in Rhythm for Civics.
- Is Public
- Select this check box to show licenses of this type to members of the public. If you don't select this check box, then only customers can see the licenses.
- Portal Description
- In this field you can specify an alternative description of the license type to be displayed in Rhythm for Civics.
- Primary Site
- Use these check boxes to indicate which types of records can be used as primary sites when users submit applications through the portal. Select any combination of Addresses can be used, Assets can be used, and Parcels can be used. If Assets can be used is selected, you must specify the supported asset types in the Portal Assets grid.
- Associated Sites
- Use these check boxes to indicate which types of records can be added as associated sites when users submit applications through the portal. Select any combination of Addresses can be used, Assets can be used, and Parcels can be used. If Assets can be used is selected, you must specify the supported asset types in the Portal Assets grid.
- Portal Assets
- If assets are allowed as sites, use this grid to specify the asset types that are supported. You must enter one or more asset types if the Assets can be used check box is selected under or . The same asset types are used for both primary sites and associated sites.
- Allow Submission
- This check box indicates whether licenses of this type can be submitted through the portal.
- Portal Keywords
- Optionally, specify a list of keywords that users can use to search for the license type when starting a license application in the portal.
- Portal Instructions
- Use this field to provide instructions for submitting license applications of this type. The instructions will be displayed for users in the portal site.
License milestones
For license milestones, you can use the Is Public in Portal check box to show licenses at the current milestone to members of the public. Otherwise only customers can see licenses at this milestone.
Log generation links
You can use the Rhythm for Civics. Users in the portal site can click these links to add log entries and, optionally, change the status of licenses.
