Creating a work order from an asset inspection

You can create work orders from asset inspections and link associated observations to the work orders. You can also add existing work orders to an inspection through the Inspection InfoViewer.

  1. Load the inspection you want into the Inspection InfoViewer.
  2. Click Action and select Open a New Work Order.
  3. In the Link Observations grid, select each observation that you want to link to the new work order.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Select the correct activity and continue to create the work order. See the Work Management help for details.
    When you open the new work order in the InfoViewer, the linked asset inspection and observations are shown on the Asset Inspection tab. Linked work orders are shown on the Associations tab of the Inspection InfoViewer.
