Adding a document type
- Select Resources > Attachments > Document Type Setup.
- Click Add above the Document Types grid.
- Specify this information:
- Display Name
- Specify a display name for the document type.
- Reference ID
- Specify the reference ID for the document type. In most cases
this must match the name of the corresponding document type in the
EDM system. The exception is that document types for a Micro Focus
Content Manager provider might be configured differently.

Note: Document types in Infor Public Sector correspond to content types in a SharePoint provider. - Effective Date
- Specify the date the document type is effective.
- Portal Configuration
- If the document type will be used in Rhythm for Civics, specify
the permissions for users in different roles. For example, customers
might be able to add, update, or delete documents of this type but
public users can only view them.
You can also specify an alternative document type description to be used in Rhythm for Civics in the Portal Description field.

- Attributes
- In the Attributes grid, define the attributes for this document type. For each attribute you must specify a display name, a reference ID, and a data type. The reference ID must match the name of the attribute in the EDM system.
- EDM Provider Associations
- Optionally, specify one or more EDM providers that the document type is associated with.
- Click Save.
