Tips and hints
- Access is based around register groups, which are defined by each agency. A register group can represent all of the registers in a particular location, all of the registers serving a particular function, all of the registers used by a set of employees, or some other meaningful grouping. Each register can have one and only one register group.
- In a register-based system, the register group is added to the drawer setup when a register is specified for that drawer. The system then uses that register group to determine permissions. In a cashier-based system, a default register group must be specified for each drawer setup. The system then uses either the register group for the register that the drawer is currently in or the default register group from that drawer’s setup to determine permissions.
