Recording a log entry for a work order

  1. Load the work order you want into the Work Order InfoViewer.
  2. Select the Summary tab.
  3. In the Quick Links panel, click Add a Log Entry.
    If the Log tab is present, you can add a log entry on this tab.
  4. Specify the type of log entry in the Log Type field.
  5. Specify the date of the log entry in the Log Date field and, if applicable, the date the logged event ended in the To Date field.
  6. In the Started By field, specify the identification code for the employee who recorded the log or performed the logged event.
  7. In the Comments field, type the information for the log.
  8. Click Save.
    Infor Public Sector adds the log entry to the work order and shows a message that the log entry was created successfully.
  9. Click Close to close the message dialog box.
  10. Click Close to close the Log Entry dialog box.
    If the Log tab isn't already present, Infor Public Sector adds this tab to the InfoViewer. The log entry is displayed in the grid on this tab.
