Creating a standard work order

A standard work order is a template that you can use to create work orders with key information already filled in. If you want to use an existing work order as a template for other work orders, you can create a standard work order based on it.

Note: Starting from an existing work order is one of three ways to create a standard work order. You can also use Create Standard Work Order, or you can copy an existing standard work order in the Standard Work Order InfoViewer.
  1. Load the work order you want into the Work Order InfoViewer.
  2. Select the Summary tab.
  3. Click Create Standard Work Order in the Quick Links panel.
Note: If you're using the classic layout of the Work Order InfoViewer, click Action and select Create Standard Work Order.
  4. Type a name for the standard work order in the Name field.
  5. Make any changes you want to the information on the Work Order Information tab.
  6. If you want to limit this standard work order to one or more specific activities, enter them in the grid on the Activities tab.
If you enter activity codes for a standard work order, it will only be available when you create work orders for those activities. If a standard work order doesn't have any activity codes, it will be available for all activity types. You can also define a default standard work order for each activity in Activity Workflow.
  7. If you want to include information from agency detail pages in the standard work order, enter the values that you want to use in the grid on the Details tab.
The grid on the Details tab shows a list of business object properties that the fields on the available detail pages are bound to. If you assign values to these properties, Infor Public Sector will enter those values in the corresponding fields when you create a work order based on this standard. To assign a value to a property, enable editing in the grid and select the property. Then enter the value in the Value field and click Save.
  8. Click Save.
