File permissions for cashiering hardware
If you upgrade to the 2023 version of the Infor device control for cashiering hardware,
you might see an error when you edit the channel ID or switch to a different profile in the
Infor Device Client Configuration tool.
The error message will indicate that access to the path C:\ProgramData\InforHardwareControl\serviceConfig.xml is denied. This is due to a change in the way the installer sets file permissions.
The issue will be fixed in a future update. As a workaround, you can browse to C:\ProgramData\InforHardwareControl\serviceConfig.xml and grant the necessary permissions manually.
