Adding a code definition field

To add a field whose value is supplied by a code definition, you must specify the code definition that you want to use. You can select an existing code definition table, or you can create a new one.
Note: The process of adding a code definition field in Infor Public Sector 8.5.0 and later is simpler than in previous releases. In previous releases you would first use the Schema Manager to add a code definition column and link it to the appropriate table. You can now complete these steps directly from the Page Editor.
  1. In the Page Editor, click Edit and select Data Builder.
Note: The Data Builder is only available if you're editing a detail page, not a standard page in the Content Manager.
  2. Click Add above the grid.
  3. Specify this information:
    Screen Name
Specify a name for your code definition field.
    Data Type
    Select Code Definition.
    Criteria Sort Order
Specify a number indicating the order of this field. This is required so that new code definitions can be added from the popup.
