Data structure

Infor Public Sector uses an Oracle or SQL Server database to store the agency's data. You can use the Schema Manager to review and modify the data structure.

You can view detailed information about the standard tables, and you can define, generate, and update personalized tables and business objects to meet your agency's requirements.

When a table is defined, it is given a name that is displayed in the database and a common ID that Infor Public Sector uses to identify it. The common ID also serves as the name of the associated business object. After the user defines a table, it can be generated in the database, and the business object used to interact with the table from the Infor Public Sector interface can be generated.

For documentation of the data structure, see the Infor Public Sector Data Element Dictionary (DED). The DED is available in the documentation section at the Infor Xtreme support site. Entity relationship diagrams (ERDs) are also available.
