Authorized applications

There are two types of authorized application:

• IPS: An IPS authorized application is an alternative way to authenticate to the Infor Public Sector site. When you add an IPS authorized app, Infor Public Sector generates a client ID and a secret code that can be used for authentication. For example, a call to Rest Services or Web Services can use a client ID and secret instead of user credentials.
• ION API: ION API authorized applications store credentials for authorized apps in Infor ION API. Infor Public Sector can then use the stored credentials to connect to other services through ION API.
