Installing the AutoComplete service

  1. Run Setup.exe in the root of the Infor Public Sector ISO to open the installer.
  2. On the first screen, click Install.
  3. On the second screen, enter your Infor Public Sector license key.
Enter the product key that you received from Infor in the fields provided. By default, the installer uses a secure Internet connection to import your licenses. Alternatively, if you previously downloaded your license file, select License File and click Browse to open the license file. Then click Next.
Note: The option to import licenses through a secure Internet connection is not supported in versions before Infor Public Sector 11.2 202101. For older versions you must download the license file.
  4. In the Setup tree, click Install AutoComplete Service and select Install.
  5. In the Installation Folder field, specify the path to the folder where the AutoComplete service will be installed.
  6. In the Distinct Service URL field, specify the URL that Infor Public Sector will use to connect to the AutoComplete service.

The URL should include the name of the server where you’re installing AutoComplete and a port number other than 80 (the standard HTTP port). Port 9222 has been used in testing. The last part of the URL can be a name of your choice. For example, if you’re installing AutoComplete on a server called IPSServer, the URL might be http://IPSServer:9222/AutoComplete. If you're using a firewall, the selected port must be open.

Note: You can also use HTTPS for the service URL, such as https://IPSServer:9222/AutoComplete. If you're using HTTPS you must first install a certificate and bind it to the AutoComplete port number. If Infor Public Sector is on a separate server or has a different host name, you will require a second certificate.

    Net.TCP is also supported.

  7. In the Data Provider field, specify the Infor Public Sector data source for which you’re installing the service.
  8. If this is a stand-alone installation, specify the agency encryption key for your Infor Public Sector site in the Encryption Key field.
Each agency is randomly assigned a unique encryption key on installation or upgrade to Infor Public Sector 8.5.0 or later. To find your encryption key, open the Hansen8 configuration in the Configuration Editor and select the Agency node.
  9. In the IPS Login and Password fields, enter a valid user name and password for the specified provider.
  10. If you’re installing a shared service, specify the path to the associated Infor Public Sector application directory in the IPS Application Path field. Leave this field blank to install a stand-alone service.
  11. Click OK.
  12. Click Next.
The installer shows the final screen in the installation process, and indicates that the product is ready to install.
  13. Click Install.
The installer shows status messages as it completes the installation process. When installation is complete, the installer indicates whether the process was successful, and whether there were any errors. You can click View Log to open the installation log in the Log Viewer.
