Resubmitting outbound messages

If BOD processing has failed and the message remains queued, you can resubmit the message. For example, BOD processing might fail due to an invalid mapping. Resubmission is only supported if the message has not yet been deleted from the queue. The queue is cleared when messages are successfully sent.

If the message has been deleted from the queue then a new message must be generated, meaning that whatever workflow triggered the BOD must run again. For example, if the message was sent by an AfterUpdate formula on the ServiceRequest object, then a service request must be updated.

  1. Select System > Lookup Messaging Logs.
  2. Look up the outbound logs for the messages that you want to resubmit.
  3. In the search results, select the messages that you want to resubmit.
  4. Click Action and select Resubmit Selected Message(s).
