Recording resource usage

  1. Select the Resource Usage tab in the work order viewer, the service request viewer, or the asset inspection viewer.
  2. Tap the Add button.
  3. Select the type of resource for which you're recording usage from the popup.
  4. Specify the resource usage information.
    The required information depends on the type of resource that you selected. Generally you must specify the resource that was used and the usage quantity, such as the number of extra items or hours of labor. In some cases you can also specify the rate that will be used to calculate the total cost, but this depends on the resource. For example, labor usage uses the pay rate defined for the employee in the back office.
  5. Tap Save or Save and Close.
    Tapping Save saves the record and leaves the resource usage screen open so you can add additional resources. Tapping Save and Close saves the record and closes the screen.
