Creating an annotation service

All annotation data is stored in a feature service in ArcGIS Server. When defining the annotation service you should include three layers, one for each type of drawing:

• points
• lines
• areas

You can link annotations to records in Infor Public Sector by adding special attributes to the layers in the annotation service.

The annotation service also provides the templates that users can select when they add new annotations. Each template that you define will be displayed in the template picker in the annotation tool.
