Linking service requests to cases

In addition to creating a new case for a service request, you can use the lookup to link an existing case to a service request.

Note: You can also link a service request to a case using the Case InfoViewer or the Associations tab of the Service Request InfoViewer.
  1. Select Customer Service > Service Request > Lookup Service Requests.
  2. Look up the service request you want to link a case to.
  3. Select the correct service request.
  4. Click Action and select Link to Cases.
  5. Click Add above the grid.
  6. Enter your search criteria at the top of the lookup to locate the case that you want to associate.
  7. Click Search.
    Infor Public Sector shows a list of the cases that match your search criteria.
  8. Select the correct case and click Select.
    Infor Public Sector links the case with the request, closes the lookup, and shows the case in the Associated Cases grid. The current service request will also be displayed in the case record.
