Setup in Infor Public Sector

All of the export and import processes use keywords and export/import templates, but there is some variation in how they’re configured in Infor Public Sector.

The main difference is that some of the export processes use stylesheets to generate a formatted output rather than raw XML. These are the processes that generate correspondence, such as emails and letters, that is meant to be read by humans.

The first set of export processes are used to output formatted correspondence to be delivered to customers. XSLT stylesheets are used to transform the raw XML in the data files into emails or letters. These processes include bill runs, delinquency runs, and NSF notices.

Other export processes generate XML data files to be read by other computer systems. Similarly, the import processes read data from an input file that is generated by another system. No stylesheet is required in either of these cases.
