Paying an at cost fee (non-Billing)

A deposit account is generated when an applicant makes an initial deposit on an application. Funds in the deposit account can then be used to pay an application’s at cost fees. The amount of an at cost fee is calculated when the duration of the associated review or inspection is recorded.

Depending on your agency’s policies, Infor Public Sector may automatically pay these fees with the deposit funds at a certain milestone, or you can pay them manually at any time. Note that at cost fees can only be paid with a deposit account, and deposit accounts can only be used to pay at cost fees.

  1. Load the application you want in the Application InfoViewer.
  2. Select the Fees tab and the Fees subtab.
  3. Click the Pay Fees link above the All Fees grid.
  4. Under Pay At Cost Fees Using Deposit Funds, select the fee you want to pay.
You can select one or more fees for this payment to apply to by clicking each fee in the grid. Infor Public Sector pays each fee following a payment order established by your agency. If the amount of the payment is less than the total amount of all of the fees that you are paying, Infor Public Sector follows the payment order until the payment amount is reached. You can then create another payment to cover the remaining fees or portion of a fee.
  5. Under Applicants, ensure that the applicant who is paying the fee is selected.
  6. Click Pay.

If the available deposit funds cover all selected fees, Infor Public Sector records the payment. The payment is subtracted from the total owed for the application and from the deposit balance. If an application has multiple deposit accounts, the selected fee is paid using the account that was associated with that fee type during setup. Infor Public Sector also generates fee payment transaction and fee payment records, updates the fee status, and attempts to advance the application through its permitting process.

If the available deposit funds are insufficient, Infor Public Sector applies the available amount, and makes a partial payment. Note that at cost payments are automatically confirmed.
