Adding a parent license

Parent-child relationships help your agency track complex licenses that are associated with multiple licenses. A parent license is a license that contains other licenses, such as a General Contractor license that may contain Plumbing, Electrical, and Mechanical licenses. Using the Related Records tab, you can indicate that the current license is the parent of another license.

  1. Load the license you want in the License InfoViewer.
  2. On the Related Records tab, click Add above the Parent Licenses grid.
  3. In the Parent License # field, specify the identification number for the license that will be the parent of the current license.
  4. Specify the capacity in which the license is related to the parent in the Capacity field.
  5. Type any additional information about the relationship in the Comments field.
  6. Click Save.
Infor Public Sector links the licenses, defining the license that you specified as the parent of the current license, and adds the parent license to the grid. The current license will also be displayed in the Child Licenses grid for the parent license when you load that license.
