Code violations

To record problems discovered during an inspection or review, such as zoning violations, members of your agency must have access to a list of valid code violations.

Code violations are arranged in violation groups that associate inspection types and review types with each code violation. This ensures that Infor Public Sector shows only those code violations that apply to an application when an inspector or reviewer records a problem.

For example, you might have a Parking violation group that contains code violations for parking boats on the street, parking vehicles in the yard of a residence, and parking within ten feet of a mail box.

To make these codes available to the correct cases, you must associate the violation group that contains the codes with the proper case types. In the above example, you could associate the Parking violation group with Obstruction and Inoperable Vehicle case types. Infor Public Sector makes all of the codes in a violation group available to all case types associated with that violation group.

You use the Code Violation Groups node in Application Workflow to link an inspection or review type to a violation group. This association makes all code violations within the violation group available to that inspection or review type.
