Configuring virtual inspections

Infor Public Sector can integrate with VuSpex to manage virtual inspections.

If the integration is enabled, the Inspection InfoViewer will show an additional button that the user can click to launch VuSpex and conduct a virtual inspection. To conduct the inspection, the inspector uses VuSpex to connect to the mobile device of a contractor at the application site. The camera on the contractor's device is then used to complete the inspection with the inspector's guidance. The inspector can take screen shots and video of the inspection and VuSpex will automatically attach that media to the inspection.

To configure the VuSpex integration, use the VuSpex node under the General > Virtual Inspections node in the CDR configuration.

See CDR configuration.

To connect to VuSpex, you must specify the URL of the VuSpex instance in the Base Services URL attribute. Then add the Authentication Information node under the VuSpex node and specify the API key to use for authentication to the base URL.

You can use the Button Title attribute on the VuSpex node to specify the label that appears on the button. The default is Launch VuSpex.

To use the integration, users must also be assigned the VuSpex Virtual Inspections license.
