Changing a penalty table's effective date

A penalty table's effective date determines when penalties defined in the table's details can be applied to accounts during a penalty run. Details in a table that has a future effective date will not be applied to accounts until that date.

Note: You can't change the penalty code that a table is associated with. To associate a table with a different penalty code, you must redefine the table and all its details under the correct penalty code.
  1. Select Billing > Setup > Delinquency > Penalty Table.
  2. In the Penalty Table Setup tree, browse to the penalty table that you want to change.
  3. Right-click the penalty table node and select Modify Penalty Table.
  4. Specify a new date in the Effective field.
  5. Click Save.
Infor Public Sector updates the penalty table’s effective date and shows the table’s new date in the Penalty Table Setup tree. The penalties defined in the table’s details will not be effective until the new date.
