Reading based line items
A reading based line item is a particular type of service based line item that
calculates charges based on usage readings. The most common example is a line item for a
metered water service.
To define a reading based line item, select ReadingBased from the Type list when you define a service based line item.
After you select ReadingBased from the Type list, an additional option is shown in the Rate Change list:
- Rate Period Specific: Sums the values produced by passing each consumption reading to the rate table that was effective at the time of the reading.
