Batch processing tasks

The types of tasks that you can add will depend on the Infor Public Sector licenses that your agency has purchased. For example, if you're working with Infor Public Sector Billing you'll see tasks such as Bill Run Schedule and Delinquency Run, while CDR includes tasks such as Process Next Milestone and Periodic Inspection.

To use the same schedule for more than one task, you can first add a task and then add subtasks. When you add a subtask, Infor Public Sector only shows the Condition fields, because each subtask uses the same scheduling options as the parent task. This means that you can set up multiple tasks without having to re-enter shared information. Note that subtasks can be of different types than the main task.

Subtasks can also be nested, with the nesting order indicating the order in which Infor Public Sector will run the subtasks. For example, a billing agency might have a group of related tasks that must run in a specific order, such as a payment posting run followed by a reconcile run and then a bill run. In this case the reconcile run would be a subtask of the payment posting run, and the bill run would be a subtask of the reconcile run. At each level you can also indicate whether you want Infor Public Sector to continue running subtasks if the current task fails.
