Setting the common date

The common date is the date that tasks will use when searching the Billing Calendar for jobs to run. By default the current date is used, but you can also set a different common date in the Billing Calendar. You can also use the command --cd to override the common date from the console.

If you specify a common date when invoking a task from the console, that date will be used to search for jobs to run. If you don’t specify a common date, but a common date is set in the Billing Calendar, that date will be used. If no common date is set in either the console or the Billing Calendar, then the Batch Manager will use the current date.
