Map Browser toolbar buttons

This table shows each button on the Infor Public Sector GIS toolbar:
Button Description
Action Performs actions on selected map markers. The actions that are available depend on the markers that are currently active.
Print

Print button

Prints the current extent and associated information.
Tools Opens the Tools menu.
  • Street View: Shows a street view of a selected map location.

    See Street views.

  • Routing: Shows your route and other employee routes. A route consists of a list of assignments, such as asset inspections, CDR inspections, service requests, and work orders, and the order in which they are to be completed.

  • Select By Buffer: Activates and selects features within a specified distance from one or more markers.

  • Measure: Open the measurement tool, which you can use to take measurements on the map.

  • Drawings: Shows the annotation tool.

Clear

Clear button

Clears selected markers and deactivates features. If one or more markers are selected, clicking Clear deselects them. If no markers are selected, clicking Clear deactivates all active features. When features are deactivated, Infor Public Sector GIS closes the associated database records and hides their map markers.
Zoom In

Zoom In button

Zooms in on a selected area of the map. Click Zoom In and draw a rectangle on the map to indicate the area you want to zoom to.

Zoom Out

Zoom Out button

Zooms out. Click Zoom Out and draw a rectangle on the map to indicate the area to which you want to shrink the current extent. The smaller the rectangle, the further the map will zoom out.
Pan

Pan button

Used to move around within a zoom level. Click Pan and then click and drag the map contents in the direction you want to move.
Zoom to Full Extent

Zoom to Full Extent button

Zooms out to show the full extent of the map.
Previous Extent

Previous Extent button

Moves back to the last extent that you viewed. The map keeps a history of the current session so you can move back and forth.
Next Extent

Next Extent button

Moves to the next extent in the session history.
Select

Select button

Selects markers on the map. After clicking Select, use your mouse pointer to draw a rectangle around the markers you want to select. A green dot indicates that a marker is selected.
Activate

Activate button

Activates selected map features. Activating a feature loads the associated database record so that you can work with it from the map. When you activate a feature, the map shows the record's map marker on top of the feature icon.
Identify All

Identify All button

Shows GIS attribute information for one or more selected map features. Click and drag to select the features that you want to view. The Feature Information tab is displayed, listing the visible layers in a tree structure. Expand the node for each layer to view GIS information for the selected features in that layer.
Select by Polygon

Select by Polygon button

Selects markers within a polygon that you draw on the map. Click each point in the map where you want to place a corner of the polygon, and double-click when you're finished. Each marker the polygon touches will be selected.
Navigate to My Infor

My Infor button

If you've made the Map Browser your home page, you can click this button to open My Infor.
