Buttons

This table describes the most common buttons in the Infor Public Sector interface.

The middle column lists keyboard shortcuts for the standard buttons. You must be in command mode to use these shortcuts. If your cursor is in an input field, then you are in text entry mode. Press Esc on your keyboard to enter command mode. To return to text entry mode, press Ctrl+Enter or put your cursor in an input field.

Button Shortcut Description
Action a Opens a menu of tasks you can perform, such as adding, editing, or deleting information in a record. The options that are displayed in the menu will vary depending on the context.
Cancel

Cancel button

c Cancels the current process.
Clear

Clear button

Delete Clears the information from the fields on a form, such as clearing the information in a lookup so you can start a new search.

Close

Close button

q Closes the current window or form.
Documents

Documents button

d Shows a list of documents that are relevant to the page where the button is displayed. The available documents are defined in the Reports Manager.
Edit

Edit button

e Used to edit information in an InfoViewer. When you click Edit, Infor Public Sector makes the fields in the InfoViewer available for editing and changes the Edit button to Save. When you click Save, Infor Public Sector saves your changes, disables editing, and changes the button back to Edit.

Finish

Finish button

s Finishes the current process.
Help

Help button

Shift+/ Shows the online help.
Knowledge Base

Knowledge Base button

k Opens the knowledge base. The knowledge base stores information and resources that agency employees might require to do their jobs.

By default, this button opens the standard Infor Public Sector knowledge base. Infor Public Sector can also be configured to use an external system instead. If so, clicking Knowledge Base will open the external knowledge base.

Load

Load button

l Loads a selected record or group of records.
Map Drawer

Map Drawer button

m Launches Map Drawer.
Next

Next button

Pagedown Advances to the next record in an InfoViewer, or the next page in a multi-page process.
OK

OK button

s Completes a process or confirms an action.
Previous

Previous button

Pageup Returns to the previous record in an InfoViewer, or the previous page in a multi-page process.
Print

Print button

p Prints the information currently displayed on your screen. Clicking the Print button in Infor Public Sector has the same effect as using your browser's Print command.
Refresh

Refresh button

Refreshes the information displayed on the current page.
Reports

Reports button

r Shows a list of reports that are relevant to the page where the button is displayed. The available reports are defined in the Reports Manager.
Save

Save button

s Saves the current record.
Save & Close

Save and Close button

Saves a record and closes the dialog box in which you entered the information.

If you are creating a new record, such as an application fee or a code violation, note that a record is added each time you click Save or Save & Close. If you click Save to add a record, then you must click Close to close the dialog box, not Save & Close. Otherwise a duplicate record will be added.

Search

Search button

f Searches your records based on the criteria you have entered in a popup or lookup.
Select

Select button

l Loads a selected record in a popup grid.
Settings

Settings button

Used to show and update settings in various locations, such as My Infor and the Roadway InfoViewer. Also used for grid settings and Attachments controls.
Sign Out

Log Out button

Logs the current user out of Infor Public Sector.
Standard Operating Procedures

Standard Operating Procedures button

i Shows the standard operating procedures your agency has defined for the current task.
