Entering projected costs for a life cycle analysis

The Cost Items grid in the Cost Group InfoViewer includes a column for each year covered by the scenario the cost group is associated with. For example, for a four-year scenario starting in 2016, the grid will include columns for 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019. You can use these columns to enter projected costs for each year for each cost item. Infor Public Sector then calculates the net present value of each projected cost and sums these values to calculate the total NPV of the cost item.

  1. Open a life cycle analysis in the Life Cycle Analysis InfoViewer.
  2. In the Scenarios grid, click a scenario name in the Name column to open the scenario in the Scenario InfoViewer.
  3. In the Cost Groups grid, click a cost group name in the Name column to open the cost group. The cost  group opens in the Cost Group InfoViewer.
  4. Select the Projected Costs tab.
  5. In the Cost Items grid, click Edit to the left of the cost item for which you’re entering projected costs.
  6. Specify the projected costs for the cost item.
  7. Click Save.
Infor Public Sector calculates the net present value of each projected cost and shows the sum of these values in the NPV column. The Total column shows the total actual amount of the projected costs.
