Document types
You can add document types in Infor Public Sector directly, or you can import them from your EDM system. A default document type called IPS is provided out of the box. You can use this for EDM providers that don't support document types, such as IPS providers.
A document type can also include a set of attributes, which represent the metadata for documents of that type. For example, document type attributes might include dates, identification numbers, or information about the user who added or updated a document. If attributes are defined for a document type that you import from the EDM system, you can import them along with the document type.
You can also define document type permissions for users in Rhythm for Civics. Because Rhythm for Civics is a public-facing portal, you might want to restrict which users can view or edit attachments.
See "Attachments" in the Infor Rhythm for Civics Administration Guide.
After you define document types, you must associate them with EDM providers, indicating which providers manage which types of documents. You can use either Document Type Setup or EDM Setup to associate document types with providers.
See EDM setup.
