Maintenance mode

If you need to take your site offline temporarily, you can put it in maintenance mode. For example, you can put the site in maintenance mode during an upgrade, or while running a configuration transfer.

When the site is in maintenance mode, only users who have been granted the Maintenance Mode Login permission in Access Control (under System > Administrator > System Information) can log in.

To put the site in maintenance mode, use the System Information page (SASI). Click Action and select Enter Maintenance Mode.

The Maintenance Mode Management permission is required for this action. You can only enter maintenance mode when no other users are logged in and no batch tasks are running.

Note: If necessary, you can use the User Session Manager to log out users.

To take the site out of maintenance mode, click Action and select Exit Maintenance Mode.
