Changing a work order's activity

When you change a work order's activity, the work order is reset to the first milestone of the new activity and the tasks, constraints, and cost estimates are updated. Because the tasks are updated, you can only change the activity if the work order has no costs recorded for the old activity's tasks.

  1. Load the correct work order in the Work Order InfoViewer.
  2. Select the Summary tab.
  3. Click Change Activity Code in the Quick Links panel.
    Note: If you're using the classic layout of the Work Order InfoViewer, click Action and select Change Activity Code.
  4. Specify the new activity in the Activity Code field.
  5. Click Save.
