Setting Work Management preferences

You can use the Work Management Preferences node in the My Infor Preferences box to set display preferences for the Work Order InfoViewer. The Summary tab of the Work Order InfoViewer includes various panels and quick links. Not all panels and quick links are relevant for all users, so you can select the ones that you want to see. You can also use the Work Management preferences to filter the work orders that are displayed in the Work Order Approvals For Review item.

  1. In My Infor, click the My Infor Preferences My Infor Preferences button button.
  2. Expand the Work Management Preferences node.
  3. Select the Approvals For Review node to filter work orders in the Work Order Approvals For Review item.
When you select the Approvals For Review node, a list of existing work order approval types and approval levels is displayed under Item Preferences. To filter work orders, select the approval levels you want to show and click Save. The Work Order Approvals For Review item will only show work orders that require approval from the selected levels.
  4. Expand the Work Order Summary node.
  5. Select the Panels node.
  6. Under Item Preferences, select the Use Classic Layout check box if you prefer the classic Work Order InfoViewer.
The classic layout of the InfoViewer doesn't include a Summary tab, so there are no panels or quick links. In addition, all tabs are displayed by default, even if they don't have any data. In the standard layout, most tabs are only displayed if you've entered information for them using the quick links.
  7. Select the Information Tab First check box if you want the Information tab to be shown before the Summary tab in the Work Order InfoViewer.
  8. In the grid, select the panels that you want to show on the Summary tab and the order in which you want them.
All panels are displayed by default, so you only need to change the ones that you don't want to see. To change the display order of the panels, reorder the records in the grid.
  9. Select the Quick Links node.
  10. In the grid, select the quick links you want to show and the order in which you want them.
  11. Click Save.
