Addresses tree nodes

This table describes each node in the Addresses tree in the Contact and Property Browser.

Note: Some nodes listed in this table are only displayed if your agency has purchased the respective Infor Public Sector product, or if you have the necessary permissions in Access Control.
Node Description
Addresses (root node) Contains nodes for the address records that match your search criteria. You can add new addresses by right-clicking on the root node and selecting Create Address.
Addresses root node Node for a standard address.
Block address node Node a block address. A block address is a stretch of street limited to a single block.
Range Address node Node for a range address. A range address is identified by a range of street numbers rather than a single number, such as 100 to 200 Main Street.
Relationships The Relationships node shows any other addresses that the current address is related to. To define address relationships, use the Relationships tab in the Address InfoViewer.
Contacts Node for the contacts associated with an address. An address contact is anybody that your agency can correspond with regarding an address, such as a property owner, a caretaker, or a tenant. When you click this node, Infor Public Sector shows information on the address's current and previous contacts in the grids on the right.
Parcels Node for the parcels associated with an address. To associate additional parcels with the address, open the address record in the Address InfoViewer and add the parcels. A parcel is an area of land defined for administrative or tax purposes. When you click the node, information about the parcels is displayed on the right.
Properties Node for the properties associated with an address. A property is a piece of real estate owned by a customer that represents multiple addresses or parcels, such as an apartment complex or facility.
Accounts Node for the billing accounts associated with an address.
Applications Node for the applications where the address is the primary site, a linked site, or an associated site.
Assets Node for the assets associated with the address.

Assets can be associated with addresses in two different ways, using different tables in the database:

  • You can specify the address where an asset is located in the asset InfoViewer. In this case the key to the address record is stored in the ADDRKEY column in the COMP table.
  • You can use the Assets tab in the Address InfoViewer to link assets to an address. In this case the asset records are linked to the address through the COMPADDR table.
The Assets node shows all assets linked to an address, whether through the Address InfoViewer or the asset InfoViewer. Thus, when you open an address in the InfoViewer, the Assets tab might not show all of the assets that are shown on the Assets node.
Cases Node for the cases where the address is the primary site, a linked site, or an associated site.
Licenses Node for the licenses where the parcel is the primary site, a linked site, or an associated site.
Service Requests Node for the service requests located at the address. A service request tracks a customer service call from the initial problem report or information request through to its resolution.
Services Node for the account services, such as water or trash collection, associated with an address.
Work Orders Node for the work orders associated with an address. When you click this node the grid on the right shows work orders for the address and any assets associated with the address.
