Units of measure

Infor Public Sector may use several different units of measure to show roadway distances, depending on the form that you're using.

Roadway units of measure can be set in these ways:

  • In My Infor, one of the preferences that you can set is the roadway display unit. Click the My Infor Preferences button, then select the Asset Preferences node in the My Infor Preferences box and select a unit of measure from the Roadway Display Unit list. Infor Public Sector uses this unit of measure when showing roadway information in certain locations, such as in the Assets grid in the Asset Group InfoViewer. This unit is not used in the Roadway module itself.
  • Most forms in the Roadway module use the top ruler units that you select when setting preferences for the Roadway InfoViewer. To set this unit, open a roadway in the InfoViewer and click Settings, then select a unit of measure from the Top Ruler Units list. In addition to the top ruler in the InfoViewer, this unit is used in forms such as Create Roadway and the Roadway Lookup.
  • The asset control stores its own unit of measure for roadway assets. The asset control is the set of fields that you use to specify an asset in forms such as Create Work Orders. The unit that you select for the To field becomes the default unit of measure for roadways in the asset control.
