Roadway Condition Viewer

The Condition Viewer shows a graphical representation of pavement conditions along a roadway.

Pavement conditions are represented by numerical index values. Index types might include things like Roughness Index (RI), Structural Sufficiency Index (SCI), Surface Condition Index, and Overall Condition Index (OCI), which is based on a combination of the first three indexes. Because roadway inspections are typically not performed on the entire length of a roadway, but on specific subsections, the index values along the roadway will vary. In addition to the index values, the Roadway Condition Viewer form includes a graphical display of each inspection that you have performed on the roadway.

The Condition Viewer consists of three main sections:

  • At the top, a GIS View section showing a GIS map of the roadway.
  • In the middle, a legend listing any indexes that have been calculated for inspections of the roadway.
  • At the bottom, a list of inspections for the roadway and a diagram showing the point or stretch of the roadway that was inspected.
