EDM enhancements

This update includes these enhancement to the EDM (electronic document management) functionality for storing attachments.

First, the list of supported EDM provider types now includes Laserfiche 10.4. See "Attachments" in the Infor Public Sector System Administration Guide for configuration instructions.

Second, the system supports more fine-grained mapping of attachments to component types. For example, asset attachments are mapped by default to the generic Hansen.AssetManagement.Asset component, but you might want to use a specific asset type, such as Hansen.AssetManagement.Fleet.Vehicle.

Using the Component Redirects node in the DocumentProviders configuration, you can specify a redirect path for a component type. Set the Bind Path attribute to Parent to drill to a more specific component from the specified moniker.

Component redirects

Two component redirects are configured out of the box, one for CDR applications and one for assets. These are disabled by default, so you must enable them if you want to use them.

Note: Component redirects are not supported if you are using the IPS provider type.

Finally, for SharePoint providers, you can designate different root folders within the SharePoint document library to store attachments for diffrerent types of records. For example, you might want to use separate directories for service request attachments and for work order attachments. Use the new Document Root Folder attribute on the SharePoint mapping nodes in the DocumentProviders configuration to specify the root folder for a type of record.
