New cashiering hardware control

This release features an updated hardware control for the Cashiering module. All browsers are now supported.

The experience for the end user of the Cash Register is the same, but there are some changes in the process of setting up client machines to function as cash registers.

When you open the Infor Device Client Configuration tool after installing the new hardware control, you will see a new section for adding profiles. A profile is used to connect the hardware control to an instance of Infor Public Sector.

Device Configuration Utility

In the Cashiering Setup form in Infor Public Sector, you use the channel ID for a profile to connect to the hardware control.

Register Hardware Configuration

The legacy hardware control is currently still supported, but deprecated. To install the legacy control, select the Install Legacy Hardware Control check box in the installer.

Cashiering installation

See "Cashiering hardware setup" in the Infor Public Sector Cashiering Administration Guide.
