Notifying customers

For some types of records the mobile app includes notification functionality so you can send messages to customers. For example, you might want to notify a customer that you are running late, or that you will arrive early for a scheduled inspection.

If you are working with a query on the home page, you can tap the envelope icon for any record in the query to send a notification.

Note: The envelope icon is displayed only if the record that you are working with has a primary contact.

This shows a popup from which you can select from a list of predefined notifications. You can also add your own comments. Depending on the contact's notification preferences and your agency's configuration, the notification is sent as an email, a text message, or both.
