Creating a service request category

Request categories are used to group related request types. For example, you might have a category called Complaints that contains request types for abandoned vehicles or water leaks, and another category called Inquiries that contains request types for utility billing or permit inquiries.

  1. Select Customer Service > Service Request Type.
  2. In the Service Request Type tree, browse to the node in which you want to add a new category.
    This can be the root Service Request Types node or an existing request category.
  3. Right-click the node and select Create Category.
  4. Type the name for the new category in the Category Name field.
  5. If the category will be used in Infor Rhythm for Civics, specify this information:
    Portal Order
    Specify the order in which the category will be displayed in Rhythm for Civics.
    Portal Title
    Specify the title that will be used for this category in Rhythm for Civics.
    Portal Description
    Specify the description that will be shown for this category in Rhythm for Civics.
  6. Click Save.
    Infor Public Sector closes the dialog box and shows the new category in the Service Request Type tree. You can now create service request types for this category.
