Recording inspection results

This topic explains how to record the results of inspections using the Record Inspection Results form. You can also record results in the Inspection InfoViewer by clicking the Action button and selecting Record Result.
  1. Select [CDR module] > Inspection > Record Inspection Results.
  2. Look up the inspections for which you want to record results.
By default your employee ID is displayed in the Inspector field so that you can look up inspections that are assigned to you. You can also look up inspections that are assigned to a different inspector, or you can search by group name.
  3. Select one or more inspections in the grid and click Record Result.
  4. Enter the inspection result code in the Result field.
Note: If you selected multiple inspections of the same type, the popup for the Result field will only show the result codes that are valid for that inspection type. If you selected multiple inspections of different types, the popup will show all result codes. The result that you enter will not be applied to any inspections for which it is not valid.
  5. Enter any other information that you want to record.
You can enter the date and time you began and finished your inspection, and the actual time it took to complete the inspection. Selecting the Partial Inspection check box indicates that the inspection is only partially completed. Depending on the result code you enter, Infor Public Sector will generate a reinspection to complete the partial inspection even if the result is a pass.

    See Partial inspections.

If you're recording results for a single inspection, you can enter additional information on the tabs. Depending on the type of inspection, you can record code violations, add conditions, and approve conditions.

  6. Click Save.
Infor Public Sector adds your inspection results to the inspection. If you entered a result code that requires a reinspection, Infor Public Sector shows a dialog box asking for the information it must create the reinspection. Enter the appropriate information and click OK. Infor Public Sector also attempts to advance the application through its permitting process. If your agency charges an at cost fee for this inspection type and you entered number of inspection hours, Infor Public Sector will charge a fee to the application based on the inspection's duration.
