Adding a new informational planning condition

A planning condition is either a requirement imposed on an application or important information about an application, such as special handling instructions. You can add an existing planning condition from your agency's Planning Condition Library, or create a new planning condition for just the current application. You can create two types of planning conditions: requirement and informational. Informational planning conditions provide additional information or instructions for you or an applicant, such as special handling instructions, and they do not affect the permitting process.

  1. Load the application you want in the Application InfoViewer.
  2. On the Conditions tab, under Planning Conditions, click Add above the grid.
  3. Click Create a Planning Condition.
  4. Type a name for the new planning condition in the Condition Title field.
  5. Ensure that Informational is selected in the Condition Type list.
  6. In the Status field, enter the status this planning condition will have.
The planning condition status defines the set of rules for how Infor Public Sector handles the condition and what members of your agency can do with the planning condition when it has that status. You can use an existing status from your agency's Planning Condition Library or define a new planning condition status. Note that because this is an informational planning condition, you should select a status that will not affect the planning process.
  7. In the Condition Text field, type the information that you want to supply.
  8. Enter any other information about the planning condition.
You can direct Infor Public Sector to automatically apply this planning condition to one or more child applications by entering an inheritance rule in the Inheritance Rule field. Either enter the name of an existing inheritance rule or define a new inheritance rule.
  9. Click Save.
Infor Public Sector adds the planning condition to the application and shows it in the grid. If the planning condition has an inheritance rule, Infor Public Sector passes the new planning condition down to the appropriate child applications. Infor Public Sector does not add the planning condition to your agency's Planning Condition Library.
