Fee categories

Infor Public Sector uses four categories of fee types: Standard, At Cost, Initial Deposit, and Additional Deposit.

Fee category Description
Standard All fees that are not defined as initial deposit, additional deposit, or at cost are considered to be standard.
At Cost At cost fees are charged for inspections and reviews based on the duration of the work performed, such as $45 for a three-hour inspection. At cost fees can only be paid using a deposit account established for the application. The deposit account is created when the applicant pays an initial deposit fee.

If you want an at cost fee to be paid from a certain type of deposit account, specify an initial deposit fee type in the Initial Deposit Fee Type field when you create the at cost fee type. Because an application may have more than one deposit account, indicating the initial deposit fee type here indicates which account to use.

Initial Deposit An initial deposit fee is a fee that is charged to an application to create a deposit account from which at cost fees can be paid.
Additional Deposit An additional deposit fee is a fee that is charged to an application when its deposit account gets too low to pay at cost fees.
