Adding a merchant account

  1. Select Cashiering > Cashiering Setup.
  2. In the Cashiering Setup tree, expand the Payment Processing node.
  3. Right-click the node for the payment server you're using and select Add Merchant Account.
  4. Specify this information:
    Payment Server Gateway
Select the payment gateway for this account. You can select one of these options:
    Account Name
Specify a name for the merchant account.
    Effective Date
Specify the date the merchant account becomes effective.
    Checking Account
Select this check box if the merchant account will be used for eCheck payments.
    Credit Account
Select this check box if the merchant account will be used for credit card payments.
    For E-Commerce
Select this check box if the merchant account is used for e-commerce transactions.

An Internet merchant account is different from a merchant account used for face-to-face payment transactions at point-of-sale terminals. Payment processors charge additional fees for e-commerce transactions to mitigate the risk of fraud. Note that this check box is only for informational purposes.

    Void Approved Only
If this check box is selected, then only transactions with an Approved server transaction status can be voided.
    Authorize Payment Formula
If you selected FormulaBased from the Payment Server Gateway list, specify the formula that is used to authorize payments.
    Reverse Payment Formula
If you selected FormulaBased from the Payment Server Gateway list, specify the formula that is used to reverse payments.
    Card # Format Override
Select this check box if you want to override the sensitive data setting in the Hansen8 configuration.

The SENSITIVEDATA node in the Hansen8 configuration defines how credit card numbers are stored in the database. You can store the full card number, none of it, or just the last four digits. To override this setting for a particular merchant account, select Card # Format Override and then select an option from the list that appears to the right.

  5. Specify any other information required for the merchant account.
The information that you must specify depends on the payment server gateway that you select. For example, if you’re using PayFlow Pro, you must specify the account ID, the user name and password, the host address and SSL port number, and a timeout. If you’re using a formula-based gateway, the information that you specify will depend on the formula.
Note: Infor Public Sector encrypts the account ID, user name, and password using RSA encryption before storing the information in the database.
  6. Add any custom properties required for the merchant account.
If the merchant account requires your agency to send any additional information, you can use the Merchant Account Custom Properties grid to enter the information. For example, PayFlow Pro requires you to create a custom property named Partner with the value Paypal.

To enter a custom property, click Add above the grid. Enter the name of the property in the Name field and the value in the Value field. Click Accept to add the property.

Note: You can encrypt the custom properties by selecting the Encrypt Custom Properties check box.
  7. Click Save.
