Generating group projects from a maintenance schedule

  1. Select Asset Management > Maintenance > Lookup Group Maintenance Schedules.
  2. Look up the group maintenance schedule that you want to use to generate group projects.
  3. Select the correct maintenance schedule.
Note: You can select more than one maintenance schedule in the list to generate multiple group projects simultaneously.
  4. Click Action and select Generate Group Projects.
The Select Date Range dialog box shows today's date.
  5. Specify the date through which you want to generate work orders in the Generate work orders through a due date of field. Note that work orders will not be generated outside of the date range indicated by the Cycle From and Cycle To dates in the group maintenance schedule.
  6. Click OK.
A group project is generated for each group schedule that you selected. If a single schedule calls for the generation of multiple group projects, a separate group project is generated for each date specified in the schedule. For example, if your maintenance schedule calls for a tune-up of twenty trucks every three months starting on January 5, 2017, the first group project will contain twenty work orders (one for each truck) scheduled for January 5, the second group project will contain twenty work orders scheduled for April 5, and so on. You can click the Group Project # link to view and update a group project in the Group Project InfoViewer.
  7. When you're finished viewing the list of group projects, click OK.
