Asset Browser

The browser works like a standard lookup that you can use to search for specific records. Unlike the Asset lookup for a particular asset management module, you can use the browser to search for multiple asset types at once, such as all assets marked as Inactive on a particular street.

The browser shows your search results in a tree structure. The tree shows an "Asset Category" node for each type of asset that matches your search criteria and "Asset" nodes for the specific asset records within each category. If an asset is associated with other assets, you can expand the "Asset" node to see these associated assets. For example, if a vehicle is specified as the site of a laptop computer, the laptop's node is displayed within the vehicle's node in the tree. You can right-click any "Asset" node to load the complete asset record into the appropriate asset InfoViewer.
