Adding a decision node to a decision model

  1. Load the decision model you want into the Decision Model InfoViewer.
To open the Decision Model InfoViewer, click Lookup Decision Models on the Asset Analysis page. Then look up the decisions model that you want to work with and click the link in the Name column to open the InfoViewer.
  2. Right-click the root node, or on an existing decision node, and select Add Decision as First Child, Add Decision Before, or Add Decision After.
The options that are available depend on where in the decision tree the node is located. For example, Add Decision as First Child is not available when you right-click a decision node that leads directly to a result node. Add Decision Before and Add Decision After are not available when you right-click the root node.
If you select Add Decision as First Child, the new node is displayed to the right of the current node. If the current node already has one or more child nodes, the existing children move down and the new node is placed at the top, indicating that its formula will be evaluated first.
If you select Add Decision Before, the decision node is displayed above the current node, indicating that its formula will be evaluated before the current node's formula.
If you select Add Decision After, the node is displayed below the selected node, indicating that its formula will be evaluated after the current node's formula.
  3. Specify this information:

Specify a unique name for the node.
    Description
Enter a description for the node.
